Most Iceland tours work backwards. Someone builds a route, you buy a seat on it, and then you spend the trip hoping it fits. A custom-built expedition reverses that. We start with what you're actually after, and the trip gets built from there.
It might be one day off the marked trails. It might be ten days across the island with a glacier in the middle. It might be a honeymoon, a photo shoot, a company trip, or a family with two kids and a grandmother who isn't walking uphill. Nothing is too small or too odd to ask for — the only question is whether it makes sense to build. We are not a middleman forwarding someone else's quote. We design the trip and we run it.
The person sitting with you over the map is the one picking you up outside your hotel. When the weather turns — and in Iceland it turns — the plan gets changed by the person who wrote it, not by a dispatcher a thousand kilometres away.
A few sentences is enough: when you are coming, how many of you, and what draws you here. You do not need a plan — that is our job. We reply within 24 hours, usually sooner in season.
We meet online, usually for an hour. Whether you would rather walk or ride and look. How much you can take in a day. Children, limited mobility, anyone uneasy with heights. What you have already seen, and what you would rather skip. This is also where we tell you straight what is not possible in your dates — no ice caves in July, no highlands in April, and nobody guarantees the northern lights.
Within a few days you get a real plan: day by day, with routes, driving times, suggested accommodation and a budget. Not a list of attractions — something you could actually drive. It comes with backup options for the days the weather goes against us. In Iceland, those always get used.
Cut a day, add a glacier, push the start two hours later, swap a waterfall for a hot spring — the plan gets reworked until it fits, with no limit on rounds. Then we book what is needed: accommodation, entry fees, transport, permits for restricted areas, glacier equipment. All in your name, with confirmations sent to you.
On the day, your guide picks you up — the same person you built the plan with. You stay in contact for the whole trip, including days they are not driving. Road closed, weather turned, something went wrong: you are dealing with someone who knows your plan by heart and is a few dozen kilometres away, not a call centre.

– The Highlands by 4×4 in summer, and northern lights hunting that moves with the forecast
– Food and local producers, photography and filming, weddings and proposals
– Corporate trips for up to 19 guests, and multi-day routes with full logistics
– The consultation and the itinerary are free and carry no obligation. You pay once we have agreed on a specific trip.
– Get in touch early. A day or two needs a few weeks. A multi-day trip in high season, or one with specific accommodation, needs a few months.
– We tell you the limits upfront. Some things are not possible because of season, weather or safety. You will hear that at the consultation, not the night before.
– Deposit and cancellation terms are agreed to the scope of the trip and put in writing before you pay anything.
– Nineteen guests is the most we take in one vehicle. Larger groups are possible; they just need more vehicles and more lead time.
– Short on time, long on wants. Seven days and a list that needs fourteen. Our job is telling you what fits properly, and what would just turn the trip into driving.
– A group that does not fit one shape. Three generations, different fitness, a small child — or a trip where you have already done the Golden Circle and want to go further. A fixed tour is built for an average traveller who does not exist.
