The South Coast Glacier Proposal is a strictly private, full-day journey through Iceland's most dramatic southern landscapes – built around one unforgettable moment on the ice. The day follows the same route as our South Coast Glacier Expedition: a morning pastry at Faxe Bakery, the walk-behind curtain of Seljalandsfoss, the roaring cascade of Skógafoss, and the haunting black sands of Reynisfjara.
The centrepiece is a private glacier hike on Sólheimajökull. After kitting you out with all necessary safety gear, your guide leads you to a secluded spot far from the crowds – ancient blue ice stretching in every direction. This is the stage for your proposal, captured in full by a professional photographer and 4K drone footage so that nothing is missed and nothing is forgotten.
Every detail of this day is handled with complete discretion. Only your guide and the camera crew know what's planned. The day closes in the village of Vík, where a local brewery and pizzeria offers the perfect place to begin your celebration.

– This tour is booked with full confidentiality – only you and the guide will know the plan in advance. All communication before the tour is handled discreetly.
– Sturdy hiking boots with ankle support are strictly required – crampons cannot be fitted to sneakers, soft boots, or low-cut shoes. Please inform us in advance if you need to arrange rentals.
– The glacier hike is rated easy to moderate. Participants should be comfortable walking on uneven surfaces for approximately 1.5–2 hours.
– In the event of extreme wind or lightning, the glacier section may be adjusted to an alternative scenic location to ensure both safety and the perfect backdrop.
– The photographer and drone operator will be briefed in full before the tour and will remain discreet until the moment arrives.
– This is a long day (13+ hours) – pack extra layers, snacks, and plenty of energy.
– We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 4 days or less before the event
